Intelligence is the ability to learn and understand from experience, the capacity to acquire, retain knowledge, and to respond quickly and excellently to new situations and using one reasoning to solve arising problems. Artificial intelligence (AI) is the art and design of producing intelligent devices. AI is the improvement of computer applications to have the ability to execute functions that commonly required human knowledge. It can also be described as a branch of computer art concerned with the methods and implications of computers to perform different functions similarly to a human brain.
A crucial component of AI application is knowledge, which involves the application of facts and their inter-relationships. After creating the knowledge base, the different types of artificial intelligence available are used for making conclusions based on the stored knowledge that is contained in the knowledge base. The basic categories of any artificial intelligence system can be simplified into three categories:
1. Expert systems and the devices used to create them
2. Natural language operations.
3. Perception systems for sight, talk, and feeling.
Furthermore, these are the basic qualities of artificial intelligence: metaphysics, search, identification of patterns, learning from experience, representation, rationalizing, planning and common sense information.
What about its current uses? Artificial intelligence is currently is being used in today's world for playing games (video games, sports, etc.), computer speech comprehension, interpreting the natural language, computer optics, use of expert systems, and discovery analysis. Other theoretical components and applications of AI include solving problems through heuristics techniques, handling uncertain situations, and knowledge representation by coding real world phenomenon into a form that can be stored in computer memory. Finally, some of the practical systems in the world that are based on the application of AI include autonomous vehicles, computer chess, proving of mathematical theorems, and advanced user interfaces.
